Based mainly on the long-established consumer confidence survey of 2,000 adults aged 16+ carried out for the European Commission by GfK NOP, JGFR's monthly UK Consumer Confidence Monitor covers trends in UK consumer confidence and consumer attitudes towards inflation, unemployment, spending, saving and household finances.
For details of the latest Monitor log in to the Members area. For the key findings of last months Monitor click here. We also produce specially tailored reports for example: confidence among the over 50s,between men and women, regional and high-income confidence and European consumer and business confidence. We can arrange presentations on the mood of the consumer and his/her financial activities.
Each month we produce a Financial Wellbeing Index that measures UK consumers attitudes towards personal finances, spending and saving.

Trust and confidence in financial institutions
In the past we have undertaken research on trust and confidence in financial institutions with an emphasis on the products being sold, advice and account operation. In today's climate the emphasis is more fundamental with the queues surrounding Northern Rock branches in the summer of 2007 highlighting the worries over the solvency of banks.
We are seeking a partner to develop a measure of trust and confidence in financial institutions. A Populus poll for The Times showed 44% of consumers are worried about the safety of money in a bank. |
